About Duncan
Duncan has spent many years as a rally co-driver and auto testing minis in the 1980’s before calming down for a while. After re-awakening his love of motorsport three years ago, he has attended numerous track days and travels to the infamous Nurburgring Nordschleife to fuel his desire to get the best from the car and from himself.
Duncan is married and has a daughter aged 13. His wife and daughter are both his biggest supporters and accompany him to Germany to the Nurburgring and to UK tracks for Time Attack rounds.
He competed in one Time Attack event in 2007 at Knockhill having gained a late entry and loved the whole buzz of being involved in the event, the friendliness of the organisers, the competitors and loved the pressure of producing a time when it counted. Despite running an almost standard car at the time the result was creditable (even with horizontal Scottish rain).
Duncan competed in Time Attack 2008 in a newly modified car and through the year made huge progress in the development of the car and ironing out teething issues and on ocassion over-stepping the limits of traction.
2009 has been a superb year on track for Duncan and way exceeded expectations picking up podium finishes at all 5 rounds of Time Attack including several top spot positions in qualifying and the final (both of which scored point. The title of Time Attack Club Challenge AWD Champion was finally secured at the last round at Snetterton !
